Creative Movement (ages 3-4)/Pre-Ballet (age 5-7)

  • * Find the enjoyment of movements.
  • * Dance musically and rhythmically.

Ballet 1

  • * Perform simple floor exercises to gain flexibility.
  • * Focus on turnout, pointing the feet, and basic arm and foot positions at the barre.
  • * Dance musically and rhythmically at the center.

Ballet 2

  • * Learn basic ballet vocabulary.
  • * Maximize turnout and focus on correct posture.
  • * Coordinate arm and leg movements.

Ballet 3

  • * Learn most of the barre exercises.
  • * Make feet stronger and more flexibility.
  • * Start to learn simple pirouettes from 5th position.
  • * Combine allegro movements.
  • * Begin basic pointe work (including how to sew and tie ribbons)

Ballet 4

  • * Master the basic ballet vocabulary.
  • * Start using epaulements with arm and leg work.
  • * Cover en dehors and en dedans pirouettes, single and double.
  • * Learn basic and simple combination with pointe.
  • * Start learning classical ballet variations.

Jazz

  • * High-energy, fun, motivating
  • * Gets the body moving in graceful and strong combinations and exercises
  • * Students will learn the Giordano Jazz Technique, which results in movement that is grounded, athletic, and powerful
  • * Jazz is never artificial or mechanical but lives through a constant flow of energy outward, always emanating from within

Beginner Jazz

  • * Fun class teaches younger students that great dancing always comes from the core and results in movements that are grounded and powerful
  • * Dancers will learn coordination through warm-ups and exercises across the floor

Adult Beginner Ballet

  • * Learn stretching techniques.
  • * Cover basic foundation of the barre exercises.
  • * Practice simple movements at the center.
